The four passengers who were on board the car on the Southern Expressway (E-01), lowering the shutters and seated on the doors facing each other from either sides of the vehicle, have been arrested.
The unruly travellers arrested by the Expressway traffic police division were residents of Akurana and would be produced before the Panadura Magistrate.
Earlier, the driver who drove the car very dangerously was remanded till April 22, police spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.

What a nonsense to arrest them. All wasted taxpayers money. This rowdy behaviour can be only punished with a small fine.

OKay. Now frame charges and produce them in a court. The judge will decide whether to punish them or to kiss and discharge them. IT DEPENDS ON THE AMOUNT OF POLITICAL PULL!!!

No such charges for political henchmen who roam streets during election time? One country one law. Where are these so called impartial law enforcement officers at that time.
