Showery conditions are expected to enhance in some parts of the country during the coming days, Department of Meteorology said today.
Showers exceeding 100 mm are expected in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern and Uva provinces during the next few days. Fairly heavy falls of about 75 mm can be expected at some places in the Sabaragamuwa, Central and Western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.
The public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimise damages caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers. (Yohan Perera)
