Former Sri Lanka Ambassador to Russia, Udayanga Weeratunga, was further remanded until February 26 by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Court today.
He was accused of charges in connection with the financial fraud alleged to have taken place in procuring seven MiG-27 ground attack craft for the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF).
Udayanga Weeratunga who returned to Sri Lanka last week was taken into custody by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
