UNP MP Jayampathy Wickramaratne resigns

UNP National List MP Dr. Jayampathi Wickremaratne has resigned from his post as MP with effect from January 20, 2020, Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri announced today.

The Secretary-General of Parliament Dhammika Dassanayake submitted the letter sent by Dr. Wickremaratne to notify his resignation.

Mr. Wickremaratne, who was a leading constitutional lawyer and was a member of the Constitutional Assembly's Steering Committee appointed to draft a new constitution during the previous government. (Yohan Perera and Ajith Siriwardane)

    As I know personally, this guy was not a capable lawyer. However, he later became a politician to be a member of parliament and shaw off in the public arena among ordinary people. His work was not academically and practically valuable and his constitutional work was rubbish.

    Jayampathi screwd up the constitution, the judiciary the parliament, gave powers to minorities, 19th amendment even he does not know and or knew what he was doing and also send the judges who voted against the presidents parliament dissolved in 2018 and he is a traitor and he should be dealt severely putting sri lanka against the western, USA alias
