Two soldiers were injured when a cab which defied order to stop rammed on them at a checkpoint at Omanthai yesterday.
Soldiers signalled to stop a cab which was transporting timber at the checkpoint. But the cab defied the order and went on knocking down the two military men at the checkpoint.
Police said the cab slammed into a nearby culvert and the perpetrators fled the scene.
The cab was taken into the custody of the Omanthai Police and the two injured soldiers have been admitted to the Vavuniya Hospital.(DSB)

Why these soldiers can not use their weapons. Are they following the Police? What a Shame.

Anything else being transported apart from timber? No reason to run, unless there is something to hide. - Wish soldiers a speedy recovery.
