Two non-Cabinet ministers, one deputy minister appointed

President Maithripala Sirisena today appointed two new non-Cabinet ministers and a deputy minister at his official residence, the President’s Media Division said.

Accordingly, MP Ravindra Samaraweera was appointed as the non-Cabinet Minister of Labour and Trade Union Relations and MP V. Radhakrishnan was appointed as the non-Cabinet Minister of Special Area Development.

MP Abdullah Maharoof was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Ports and Aviation.

Meanwhile, the Media Division said Labour, Trade Union Relations and Social Empowerment Cabinet Minister Daya Gamage would function as the Cabinet Minister of Social Empowerment from now on.
