Two Sri Lankans have been reportedly injured after a massive explosion rocked Beirut, Lebanon yesterday, Sri Lankan Embassy in Lebanon said.
Further, the Sri Lankan Embassy building has been slightly damaged from the explosion.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Lebanon Shani Karunarathne said that the embassy staff is currently in touch with Sri Lankan community and the Lebanon government authorities to confirm the number of casualties of Sri Lankans.
There are close to 25, 000 Sri Lankans working in Lebanon. (Piyumi Fonseka)
