Three cops interdicted over Moratuwa shooting

Three police officers have been interdicted in connection with the shooting incident in Moratuwa where a fisherman was killed.

Accordingly, a Sergeant and two Police Constables have been interdicted by the Acting IGP following an internal investigation.

A 39-year-old fisherman travelling in a three-wheeler was stopped at a Police road block at Lunawa, Moratuwa and was shot dead by police following an altercation on Friday night.

    Interdicted? They should be arrested and remanded, they have arrogantly killed a unarmed civilian whom they could have very easily overpowered and arrested if he was wrong. State Terrorism.
