Five people were injured in a clash between supporters of former minister Rishad Bathiudeen and former deputy minister Cadar Mastan at Salambakulam in Vavuniya last night, Police said.
Among those injured were four supporters of Mr. Mastan and one supporter of Mr. Bathiudeen.
The clash which had erupted following an argument was later settled and crowd dispersed by the STF.
No one has been arrested in connection with the incident. Police are investigating. (Romesh Madushanka)
