Six students of the Sri Jayawardenepura University, who were arrested over the incident where a first-year student was injured in an alleged ragging incident, were remanded until March 23 by Nugegoda Magistrate Mohammed Mihal today.
The victim, 20-year-old Pasindu Hirushan, was admitted to the ICU at the National Hospital, Colombo after he was hit on the head with a tyre thrown at him by a group of senior students on March 5.
They were arrested following an investigation by the Mirihana Police, Colombo South Crimes Division and the Special Investigation Unit.
