In an extraordinary gazette issued on May 21, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has gazetted six institutions under the Defence Ministry.
The six institutions are the Department of Multi-purpose Development Task Force, National Authority for the Implementation of Chemical Weapons Convention, Api Wenuwen Api Fund, National Police Academy, Sri Lanka Institute of National Defence Studies and the Miloda Institute (Academy of Financial Studies).
Defence Ministry sources said the Miloda Institute has been placed under the purview of the Ministry anew while the other five institutions have already been placed under the ministry on previous occasions.
“However, they were all gazetted under the ministry in this gazette,” they said. The Miloda Institute is the training wing of the Finance Ministry. (Lahiru Pothmulla)

Every democrat and every human rights defender must be shocked by the militarization of the country. This country is now ruled by a tyrant, who was as a US citizen in November 2019 even illegally elected as president.

I don't understand why the Miloda Institute (Academy of Financial Studies) is going under the defence ministry.
