Sirisena vows to support Gotabaya leadership

Former President Maithripala Sirisena today (07) said he would dedicate himself towards developing the country and building a prosperous economy as part of the new government under President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s leadership.
While expressing his immense gratitude towards the people over his victory, at a media briefing in Polonnaruwa he said that he would work towards creating a civilized society as part of the new government.
Furthermore, Mr. Sirisena said he was thankful towards all officials of the Election Commission, officers of health authorities, police and other officers who committed themselves towards ensuring a peaceful election in the country. (By K. G. Karunaratne)

Srisena was the change or alternative to Rajapaksa in the last election. Now he is no longer a change agent. He is reversing his position.
