The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) said banks and financial institutions should be informed before April 30 to obtain deferment credit facilities.
Several banks have informed customers seeking credit relief facilities provided by the government due to coronavirus, to send the request letter (In-written or through electronic media such as Email or Fax) to obtain the loan deferment by mentioning their loan details and the reasons for the inability to repay the loan.

Banks and customers - hide and seek game started again ! There is crisis situation. Govt gives directives to banks to give relief to affected citizens. This over rules any agreement with customers and banks. Banks will not reply whether they received customers reply. Customers then again will be asked to go and prove that they informed banks. What a horrendous request. It shuld be the other way around. Those wish to pay has to be requested to inform the banks as they want to pay and don't want this govt relief. Instead affected customers are asked to do more things despite difficulties in hand and strugling to survive ! God has to help these affected custormers !

Exactly, what's going to happen. Banks must be held accountable.
