The Supreme Court has ordered the Sri Lanka Medical Council to provisionally register the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) graduates as medical practitioners in terms of Section 29 of the Medical Ordinance.
The judgement was delivered by a bench comprising justices P. Surasena, L.T.B. Dehideniya and Buwaneka Aluvihare. The SLMC has given three weeks to SLMC to comply with the ruling. (Shehan Chamika Silva)
