Please for gods sake Appoint Sajith as PM nominee , problem solved. Again MS will dislike RW. AGAIN the country will go bad to worst.

    Janaya Sunday, 02 December 2018 09:00 AM

As stated, let MS go home within one hour. If necessary, give him a little more time!!!

Under the circumstances he is the one. He may have made a mistake in appointing Arjuna, but he is not corrupt like the others. He may have sided towards India and Japan to reduce China's influence. It is obvious MS did not like it. He is doing what is good for the country and not what MS likes. He should be the PM.

Kala waren. Now in the event President has no option but to appoint Ranil as prime minister president will have to step down since he said he is not going to work even one hour with Ranil. Good bye MY3. Well done UNP for showing your guts to the country.

    mario Saturday, 01 December 2018 10:27 PM

Sorry no vacancies for PM at the moment

    channa Saturday, 01 December 2018 10:35 PM

OMG. sirisena won't stay for more than an hour if Hon Ranil is elected as the PM. poor fellow. i feel sorry for this man.

Selection of PM nominee left for party claim Parliamentary majority. First citizen interfering with his choice is misuse of power. If doesn't like him he has the option to resign

    Lion Saturday, 01 December 2018 10:40 PM

It's just a party preference not the preference of people but anyway to show what MS did was wrong this action may be correct, if RW can become a Prime minister then resign it will be a great thing for the country.

Parliament is not Appa Sira's grandfather's property. Appa Sira must respect the Constitution (law). It is unequivocally clear that on 26 October 2018 Ranil was the only person that commanded the confidence of the Members of the Parliament. On that day Ranil had satisfied Article 43 (3) of the Constitution.Appa Sira sacked Ranil on the basis of his personal dislike of Ranil, which has absolutely nothing to do with the law. It has no relevance to Article 43 (3) of the Constitution. By these UNP letters of today (1 December 2018), Ranil is showing that he still commands the confidence of the majority of the MPs of the parliament. The fact that Appa Sira personally does not like Ranil has nothing to do with the law. Appa Sira is duty bound to honour Article 43 (3) of the Constitution. Appa Sira MUST re appoint Ranil as the PM immediately. If he does not re-appoint Ranil would still automatically becomes the Prime Minister, upon resignation of Mahinda. So the best thing

Wonderful Mr. Chairman. Let's see what lunatic is going to do.

    Gayan Saturday, 01 December 2018 10:55 PM

    No end in sight.

    karthik Saturday, 01 December 2018 11:02 PM

President can dissolve the parliament in another years time and he simply keeps on dragging this issue without any valid reason. What a funny democracy that we are enjoying with our president.

    Priya Saturday, 01 December 2018 11:03 PM

So, no matter how much they shout and hold rallies they clearly accept as mentioned in the letter that Mr.Ranil Wickramasinghe is just an M.P. Then why the hell is Mr.Ranil and the other UNP MPs are making an issue that MR is not the Prime Minister now???

    Jude Monday, 03 December 2018 11:23 AM

You dumb bitch, what do you know about politics!! Just shush!!

    Ron Saturday, 01 December 2018 11:03 PM

Rw is an .... nightmare. He has been in politics for almost 50 years yet has never managed to do anything productive and long lasting.

    Waco Sunday, 02 December 2018 08:13 AM

    General Election is the answer.

    johan Sunday, 02 December 2018 08:53 AM

It is the President must keep to his words "If RW becomes the PM he will resign."

    Manu Monday, 03 December 2018 08:19 AM

He may be UNP’s nominee for PM but he is not fit to be a nominee for a leader of SL.

    AS Monday, 03 December 2018 01:01 PM

Ranil is a useless person to be 're appointed as PM of this country. He should stepdown and give a chance to a capable person.

    Manu Monday, 03 December 2018 02:21 PM

Since he came by the back door he is not the nominee by people.
