President rejects UNP nominees

The names submitted to the President by the UNP for appointment as acting Ministers in place of the Muslim Ministers who resigned recently, had been rejected by the President, a government source revealed.

Instead, the President has appointed the State Ministers and the Deputy Ministers of the relevant Ministries as acting Ministers. (Ajantha Kumara Agalakada)
