The police today released a photograph of a woman known as ‘Thushari’, who is a close associate of Kelum Indika Sampath, alias ‘Kewma’, seeking public assistance to arrest her.
They said the 47-year-old woman, Mahauduwage Don Nirisha Nilmini Perera alias, Thushari, is a resident at No 1, Janatha Pedesa, Katubedda in Moratuwa.
The police requested the public if they have any information of the suspect woman, to inform Kelaniya Division SSP Upali Jayasinghe at 071-5891589. According to the police, Thushari has been involved in drug smuggling network of Kewma. Sources said the woman had rented out apartments to store drugs and weapons for Kelum Indika Sampath. (DS)
