Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe arrived at the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) investigating corruption in the current administration a short while ago to give a statement.
He would be questioned on the Cabinet decision to approve DPJ building to lease out to accommodate the Agriculture Ministry and over the lease agreement signed between the Ministry and DPJ at a total cost of Rs.1.3 billion.
Earlier the Commission had asked him to appear on last Thursday (12). However, the Prime Minister issuing a statement informed the Commission about his inability to appear on last Thursday, as he would be attending an event in Mannar, however, said he could show up on Monday.
