A 64-year-old man was killed after 10 shops in Ginigathhena were destroyed in a landslide this morning, police said.
They said the man had been buried in the debris and was recovered by the police, army and the residents.
The stretch of the Kandy-Ginigathhena road between Ginigathhena Police Station and the bus stand has been temporarily closed due to landslide risk.
