The Fort Magistrate’s Court today permitted Namal Rajapaksa to travel abroad.

He was previously not allowed to do so because of the magisterial inquiry into the alleged misappropriation of funds in the 'Krish' deal.

Permission was granted on the basis of a request he had made to attend the Commonwealth parliamentary conference and two youth conferences in Nepal and Russia.

Mr. Rajapaksa has been allowed to be away from February 24 to May 18. (Shehan Chamika Silva)

Politicians go for many overseas trips and return every time. People dont have any information as per right to know bill, what they went for and what country benefit from their visit. The journalists are so weak, they only report going and coming, nothing about their visit and the cost involved. It is not a personal trip, if they travel on public funds, it is the gov and press responsibility to inform the public.

The voters fall for the false promises of every upcoming politician. That's why they loot the country dry. We have a short memory people.....we never remember. We never go for ultimate change. It's behind looters and polluters all the time. Jayawewa Srilanka

What is the point in being a billionaire if one cant spend their money in foreign night clubs as Mugabe's sons do.
