With the broken down generator of the Noraichcholai Power Plant coming online, there won’t be power outages anymore, Ministry of Power and Energy said today.

Several areas experienced power outages during the last two days after the unit 2 generator shut down due to a technical mishap on Monday (18).

Media Spokesman and Development Director, at the Ministry Sulakshana Jayawardena told the Daily Mirror that the cause for the shutting down of the unit-2 generator at the power plant was identified yesterday but they were unable to synchronize the unit with the grid. (Sheain Fernandopulle)

There is no backup for the Sri Lanka power system. This is very serious. What was this government doing for the past 4 1/2 years? Nothing. No, the importing supper luxury vehicles with supplementary budgets and also going on overseas trip, both the President and the Prime Minster. What a lot! Ha Ha Ha.
