C.K.Lanksputra - The Royal Park Murderer was pardoned by Sirisena and not by this government. I wonder what the financial cost was for that pardon of a heinous murderer.

How safe are we in our country, anymore. Even , suspects are released after a while after the authorities have , earlier, given the impression that concrete evidence is available. Even, graver, during the initial difficult time of the Covid crisis, there were thugs, many drug dealers and addicts, going round threatening and demanding ransom, from occupants of houses, even raiding the garden produce, down certain lanes that are virtually never patrolled by the police, before or during the crisis. Even calls for response to this issues go by default eventually, giving an impression that some in the police station are complicit in these crimes, and perhaps run by these criminals or local politicians.

Some politician will come and bail them out, If convicted the same politician will arrange president to pardon them. In S. L. Criminals have more rights than the victims.
