Major General Kulatunga appointed Chief of National Intelligence

Major General Ruwan Kulatunga was appointed as the Chief of National Intelligence (CNI), Ministry of Defence said today.

The Chief of National Intelligence (CNI) post was previously held by Former DIG Sisira Mendis, who resigned on June 08 citing health reasons.

The newly appointed CNI, Major General Ruwan Kulatunga received his letter of appointment from the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence General SHS Kottegoda (Rtd) WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc, at the Ministry..

The Secretary Defence presented the letter of appointment to the new CNI at a brief ceremony held at his office this evening. The Secretary also conveyed his wishes to Major General Kulatunga during the occasion.
