Kurunegala Magistrate re-issued warrants on Kurunegala Mayor and others in the Buwaneka Hotel Monument Case, the Attorney General’s Coordinating Officer and State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne said.
She said the Magistrate has re-issued the warrants on the suspects through the Acting IGP, DIG and SP Kurunegala due to the failure by the Kurunegala Police to execute previously issued warrants.
The Magistrate has also made an order preventing the suspects from leaving the country. (Yoshitha Perera)
