Madush likely to receive pardon in Aug. ’20: Ranjan

Makandure Madush is likely to receive a pardon in August 2020, a Sri Lankan intelligence officer assisting in the investigations in Dubai said on Monday.

State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake who contacted this intelligence officer over the phone said Madush and the others are likely to receive a pardon and be freed from custody under Dubai law. “Under this law even foreign prisoners may be pardoned in the month of Ramadan in the year following their arrest. As such Madush who was arrested this year may become entitled to a pardon in August 2020,” he said and added that they could halve their sentence if they convert to Islam.

Reports said six lawyers appearing for Madhush comprise lawyers from Sri Lanka and Dubai.

When asked who state minister was talking to he said the person was an intelligence officer.

He knows better than the UAE lawyers. Some one just making him fool by saying intelligence officer. And giving false information. What is the benefit for him by this if madush is released or not? Why he wanted to be oneshot? I request from the law and order people to investigate Mr.Ranjan. The law im UAE is very strong no one can finger like in Sri lanka. I live in UAE from 1996 until now I know whom they will pardon during Ramadan. Its only for certain crimes not drug addicts or dealers. Also it will be lengthen based on the verdict. Dont play nonsense Mr. Ranjan. First read the law in the net. Type UAE law and enforcement. You will find all.

This is bull shit uttered by Ranjan, that a convicted criminal who converts to Islam gets a Pardon during Ramzan and therefore Madush is likely to get a Pardon in 2020. If you do not know Islam, please stop making such stupid statements.

Hence the urgency to bring him down and pardon him lest he spills the beans on certain politicos who are not only users but are also under his influence -financially!!!

Many thanks for revealing all drug dealers and uses in parliament. If your party going to find you guilty please leave those as holes and join JVP. They are the only party genuinely worried about what’s happening to our beloved country.

Mr Ranjan, It would better if you can let the relevant authorities to mind their job and avoid commenting and predicting things which you are not sure about. MR ranjan FYI the month of ramadhan will fall during the mid of april next year and not in August. This itself shows that you are bluffing without a base.
