Thirty one suspects including drug kingpin Makandure Madush, singer Amal Perera and his son Nadeemal, who were arrested in Dubai, were today remanded till February 28 after being produced in a Dubai Court, Counsel Shabdika Wellappili said.
He told the Daily Mirror that he met singer Amal Perera and his son Nadeemal, who were in police custody today.
Counsel Wellappili said Dubai authorities had informed him that bail applications could be filed to get Amal and Nadeemal released. (Indika Sri Aravinda)

It is not a matter of Sri Lanka or Dubai. Judge only decides whether bail can be given or not according to the law.

Why till the 24th? Badulla MP Wijesiri got bail the same day given by the Magistrate in SL Courts after assaulting a Law Enforcement Officer.Instead his driver was Remanded..Could not Dubai Magistrate release on bail Amal Perera and instead UDUL Premaratne be remanded in place?
