JVP Politbureau member K.D. Lalkantha, who was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of liquor, was remanded till March 14 today.
He was arrested after his vehicle met with an accident injuring two women in Anuradhapura yesterday.
His vehicle collided with a motorcycle opposite the Anuradhapura Prison.

These are the people who talk like perfect Lily whites with no blemish at all. At least the law is applied to some people in this country although we are far from rubbing shoulders with the West.

This is a black mark for the JVP. It is only the lowest in society that drink and drive. He should be sacked from the party and show the people that the JVP practices what it preaches.
