Thanks. Need funds for the coming general elections.

Noda King Monday, 18 May 2020 12:31 AM

WOW , Now the govt. servants can have their pay cut , pay more for petrol when the world crude oil prices are declining . Sure 69 Laks must be over joyed . Enjoy .

    Johan Monday, 18 May 2020 01:23 AM

Crude oil price is around 28 dollars per barrel as at date. This is almost half the price which was before five months.Better SL must reintroduce price formula so that the public will be benifitted.

    Jaya Monday, 18 May 2020 03:17 AM

The only country to increase petrol in the world in the middle of worldwide decrease in price. Using petrol like ciggerete and alcohol to receive revenue from poor public. The situation is grave. Great governance! Let us think of a Chinese name for SL.

What a paradox! Price per litre of petrol in Sri Lanka is rising when the world price of crude oil is at a low level. The value of the "fuel price formula" introduced by the previous regime can now be seen which provides a very transparent method of arriving at fuel prices. Where is Bandula et al. who promised to the nation that petrol prices would not be increased for one year?

    Ralahamy Monday, 18 May 2020 05:04 AM

This is at a time when the world oil price has hit rock bottom, and shows the desperate financial crisis the country is facing now.

    ravin Monday, 18 May 2020 06:26 AM

Oh !! here we believe in upside down.

Ranga Silva Monday, 18 May 2020 06:57 AM

WOW!! We are accepting the price increase without any hesitation. Hail the saviours of our land!

    Silva Monday, 18 May 2020 07:06 AM

every country is adjusting the prices according to the extremely low crude oil world prices. A reduction of Rs. 50-60 per litre would be appropriate. How can the prices even increased??? The government earning millions daily. The former government handled this issue with their formula fair and transparent.

    gamini Monday, 18 May 2020 08:57 AM

now those who criticized the UNP -Mangala's fuel formula will understand the meaning of transparency, OR will they be blinded by racist agendas

    Sokrates Monday, 18 May 2020 09:00 AM

At the moment, clever buyers even get money if they buy Crude Oil, since some oil countries no longer have storage facilities.

    Max Monday, 18 May 2020 09:02 AM

    WHAT ??? Are you mad?

    Deshapreme Monday, 18 May 2020 09:03 AM

Considering the country's finances, the increase is not unreasonable as the Govt has to prevent unnecessary jaunts by vehicle owners who are looking for ways to spend I'll gotten monies.

    Dee Monday, 18 May 2020 09:15 AM

Congratulations Brave saviours of our motherland!

    BuffaloaCitizen Monday, 18 May 2020 09:29 AM
