Karu also fit to lead the country: John

Minister John Amaratunga said today that Speaker Karu Jayasuriya was also fit to be the leader of the country.

The Minister made these remarks while addressing a function to felicitate war hero Hasalaka Gamini Kularatne who sacrificed his life 28 years ago, during the war.

Speaker Jayasuriya and Acting Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardene were also among the guests.

The messages of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe were read out at the event and a special gift from the President was handed over to war hero’s mother. (Sarath Chinthaka)

    Dear Country Citizens, With all due respect to Hon. Speaker not only for its intergrity but for his professionlism as well neverthless i feel the country should be led by younger people. They are whole bunch out there, John Amarathunge could leave politics respectfully as he cant even commnicate properly
