When a public officer faces a criminal charge, he has to be interdicted until the courts absolve him. (If he is found guilty he will of course lose his job). No way can he be reinstated on the strength of granting bail. Over to you, NPC.

So the cover up has been started in earnest. Earlier it was only a warning to CID and IP Nishantha Silva to go easy on the culprits. Heaven help Sri Lnka - if possible that is.

Big boss is back at work again. All the crimes of the previous regime is being swept under the carpet. Inspector who is investigating the crimes of the previous regime is being transferred from the CID while a criminal is being reinstated. Wow!

No,this is not acceptable by any measure. If this new government is going to be this outrageous within few weeks, what would happen later. I don’t want foreign intervention but there is no other alternative.

Hmmm if this keeps up, they might even find a way to overturn Duminda Silva’s verdict and reinstate him. Arrests and pardons seem to be subjective to ones political affiliations. But I’m sure he’d be back in jail once they lose the general elections next year

The difference is the foot dragging Yahapalana and the lightening speed of MR band. Does this confirm that MS was the speed breaker in the Yahapalana? RW should have told the truth to the world.
