Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) MP Wijith Wijeyamuni de Soysa who participated in the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new oil refinery in Hambantota said he would make a political decision after steps are taken to reform the party.
“The SLFP hierarchy is scheduled to shuffle its pack of cards soon. I will see what kind of card I will be dealt and then make a decision,” he said.
Mr. Zoysa , who was elected to Parliament on the UPFA ticket, sits on the government side at present. He emphasised that he had attended the opening ceremony in Hambantota to clear his doubts.
“I came here today to clear my doubts about the oil refinery. However I was happy to see Oil and Gas Minister of Oman Mohammed bin Hamad Al Rumhy. I am relieved to see him and now my doubts have vanished,” the MP said.
“We support these projects as it will benefit the Moneragala District. I am supporting this project as I am a part of the government headed by President Maithripala Sirisena,” he added.(Yohan Perera)
