A 30-year-old hotelier was shot dead by two men arrived on a motorbike at a hotel in Pilimathalawa last night, Police said.
They said the victim was pronounced dead on admission to the Peradeniya Hospital.
The victim was identified as Sanjaya Bandara Herath, a resident of Nanuoya Pilimathalawa.
The motive of the killing was yet to be ascertained and no suspects have been identified.
Peradeniya Police are investigating. (Chamil Rupasinghe & Nadeeka Daya Bandara)

Killings have reached unprecedented proportions and there appears to be no meaningful action being taken by the law enforcement authorities to combat this. The government too seems to be turning a blind eye.

Again murderers are found everywhere and innocent lives are risk and I feel sorry for this unfortunate event and we public urge the govt. and the police to act swiftly and impartially to arrest the murderer and take him to justice.
