Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa has reiterated that SLPP Presidential Candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa is no longer a US citizen.
‘Let's clarify doubts about @PodujanaParty presidential candidate's U.S. citizenship once and for all. Here's the proof! @GotabayaR is no longer a U.S. citizen. The @officialunp can now move on to another mudslinging campaign,” MP Rajapaksa tweeted.
Earlier, Minister Harin Fernando questioned the SLPP’s presidential candidate’s citizenship with the latest US Federal Registry released today which doesn’t include Mr. Rajapaksa’s name.

Why all this dispute about citizenship? Is it not the Elections Commissioner's responsibility to clear this once and for all and issue a public statement. The reason people continue to doubt is because of the numerous other charges that are still pending against Gotabaya Rajapakse, and his track record as Defence Secretary.
