Former Directors of ETI Finance Ltd Jeewaka Edirisinghe, Asanka Edirisinghe, Nalaka Edirisinghe and Deepa Edirisinghe were released on bail today.

They were released on a cash bail of Rs. 1 million and two sureties of Rs. 5 million each.

When the case was taken up before Colombo Chief Magistrate Mohammed Mihar, the Magistrate ordered to release the suspects on a cash bail of Rs. 1 million and two sureties of Rs. 5 million each.

Delivering the bail order, the Magistrate informed the Court that the allegations made by the prosecution seeking further remand of the suspects were based on assumptions.

Accordingly, the Magistrate granted bail for the suspects and the travel ban was imposed on them.

The magistrate also ordered the suspects to report to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on the last Sunday of every month.
