It is essential to carry out an investigation to determine as to who is behind promoting extremism in Sri Lanka in addition to finding out those who are responsible for the Easter Sunday attacks, Archbishop of Colombo Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith said.
After receiving a file which contained information on the Sharia University from SJB MP Dr. Kavinda Jayawardena , the Cardinal said the government should not sweep investigations under the carpet but should carry out an investigation to determine the two facts which he mentioned.
“ The government promised a full investigation and we expect that it will be fulfilled. If not we would be compelled to look for an alternative” the Cardinal said.
He said all universities in Sri Lanka should be open to students from all religions and ethnic groups. “ A university should not be confined to one ethnic or religious group,” he added. (Yohan Perera)

Religion is a form of extremism. So we all know who promotes extremism. A philosophy is not. Got my point. I do not wear a fancy dress.

Who is promoting extremism? Those who are in hunger for power. Simple as that.

Even the schools should be open to students from all religions and ethnic groups.

His Eminence, Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith once said it will take two generations at this rate to get to know who really is responsible for the Easter attack. By then, Cardinal, who is responsible will be long dead and gone, so let's just go on. ' Ohoma Yang"

Well, your Lordship, Its very obvious who are the extremist in SL. Didnt you listen to the sppech by our worst extremist in the parliament retired army officer Weerasekera ? There is not going to be any reconcilliation with our Tamil speaking brothers and sisters with this extremist. people like him will drive another nation like India to annexe SL to keep peace in the Indian ocean. We all will have to embrace Hindi as our official language. We elect poorly educated and poor intelligent people to represent ourselves in the parliament.
Mokan Saturday, 05 December 2020 03:41 PM
If we can ban all the religions , SL will be a better place
pantha kumaran Saturday, 05 December 2020 04:01 PM
I blame the politicians for extremism. I start with Sarath Weerasekera, he is going to be responsible for extremism. I have seen his latest remarks about Tamils and TNA. He is talking about banning TNA. Who is he to tell us. It is up to the President to control these idiots, if not we will have another Prebakaran soon. We don't want that to happen.

You should also ask the government to investigate if those terrorist have ever been funded by any of the Sri Lankan government in the past.
ram Sunday, 06 December 2020 02:25 AM
You should also demand the government to allow international war crime tribunal to conduct its inquiry in Sri Lanka in order to deliver justice to the victims of war crimes. Standing up for justice is a duty of all religious leaders including Buddhists and Muslims and Christians and Hindus
