National Policies and Economic Affairs State Minister Dr. Harsha De Silva has been appointed as the acting Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs by President Maithripala Sirisena during the absence of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Premier Wickremesinghe, is currently on an official visit to Norway and the UK until next Wednesday.

He is one of the Jokers from UNP opposition who took a train ride from Panadura to Fort and commented on the railway short comings in 2014 highlighted in media and FB at that time. Now he has been the Minister for 3 years and railway has deteriorated further. Increased the fairs from Rs 95 to 125 between Dehiwala and Galle a 31% Increase. His calculation as Minister says 15%. Wonder from where He got the Degree in economics? How much he paid for it in USA?.
