A 17 year-old youth was injured after he was shot at by a doctor with an air-rifle in Arrawwala, Pannipitiya yesterday afternoon, Police said.
They said the boy who had been playing cricket at the ground of the Arrawwala School had reportedly entered the suspect’s garden to collect the ball where he was shot at following an argument.
The boy was admitted to the Kalubowila Hospital.
The suspect, who is a doctor attached to the Maharagama Cancer Hospital, is to be produced in the Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court today. (DSB)

Don't hold the doctor responsible for the illicit action of a teenager. (This is probably the only time that I will support a doctor on his action) Listen you little twats, get the permission before you enter someones private property, and don't argue with them because you are a nuisance to the neighbors.

The little brat who entered someone else's property and then to have engaged in an argument has forfeited any right to be considered innocent. Shooting him down may be too excessive a punishment , but the shooter being doctor is irrelevant. Doctors are definitely not know-it -alls, contrary to many foolish people.
