The curfew imposed in all other districts except Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Puttalam, Kandy and Jaffna will be lifted at 6.00 am on Wednesday (April 1) and will be re-imposed at 2.00 pm on the same day, the President’s Media Division said today.
They said the curfew currently in force in the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Puttalam, Kandy and Jaffna districts would continue until further notice.
Traveling to and from all districts is completely prohibited except for the purpose of providing essential services.
Those who misuse regulations introduced with the aim of continuing essential services will severely be dealt with according to the law, the PMD said.
Since the sole purpose of these measures is to ensure the well-being of the people of this country in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, the government requests the public to strictly follow guidelines in a responsible manner. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

The government keeps extending the curfew without a date in the Gampaha district which we cannot blame. However some of us facing sever shortages in the Ja-Ela area. A vegetable lorry passes once a day and the fish lorry some times every two days. What about rice, Wheat flower, milk powder, canned fish, fruits and so many other necessities are not met. We are suffering more than the corona effected people.

Solution is so simple. Put people with corona in quarantine and the rest can move freely again.
