Well, that's true, they are just trying to blame it on the lowest employee and ignore the incompetence of the whole police force. they could have informed the other officers about the incidents. remember, there was a curfew in effect as well. this shows the lack of training in the whole police force.

That's not true . at least one of them had a weapon though not power full as the other party.

    RuwanL Sunday, 31 May 2020 10:10 AM

Only reason they were interdicted because it was shown all over social media CCTV footage. Otherwise police will swept these crimes under carpet freely. See whats happening in Negombo prison. Prison director and officers in bed with drug kingpins yet President/PM/Nimal Siripala de Silva sone silent and all corrupts officers in usual business

This is are the consequences when the police take things so casual like the Easter attack. why was the police there to sleep? if to protect why the hell they didnt shoot.now its proven that the police is afraid and cant protect people only the STF can.But if the police catch a innocent man they will massacre him.Who know if those three took a bribe to be on a side OR THEY MUST BE THE FIRST TO RUN.

    BuffaloaCitizen Saturday, 30 May 2020 07:42 PM

Citizen - then how come they are good at shooting down unarmed ordinary citizens indiscriminately at check points, homes etc... This is a case where probably the Police are also involved.

    palson Saturday, 30 May 2020 08:06 PM

Even if they shoot they'll be interdicted

    cineha Saturday, 30 May 2020 09:43 PM

I saw the media clip of this incident. Poor souls. What they could do with a single revolver when the culprits open fire with automatic weapons. Still the irony is that security personal moving around in motor cycles with automatic weapons to control curfew violators.
