Colombo tops highest COVID cases; 360 from Piliyandala, Kesbewa

After recording the highest number of COVID-19 positive cases in a single day by yesterday as 2,659, the Colombo district recorded the highest number of cases compared to other districts, the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said.

According to the NOCPCO reports, Piliyandala (180) and Kesbewa (180) recorded 360 cases and 131 from the Colombo Municipal Council area yesterday.

Meanwhile, a total number of 323 cases have been reported from the Gampaha district. Kalutara district stood next with 234 cases, while 127 from Kandy, 228 from Galle,192 from Ratnapura and 118 cases from the Polonnaruwa districts yesterday. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

With such a.situation in piliyandala how can minister of the government behave in such a irresponsible manner. The president SHOULD remove him forthwith from his position and suspend him from parliament for six months. As they are not people's reps taking into consideration their behaviour.
