The remains of two COVID-19 victims were buried in Oddamavadi, Batticaloa this morning commencing the process of burying COVID-19 victims, Army Commander Gen. Shavendra Silva said.
He told media that two bodies of COVID-19 victims were buried this morning while another seven were buried this evening.
“The Iranaithivu Island has also been prepared to bury the remains of COVID-19 victims,” he said.
“Apart from that, we have chosen another three sites suitable for the burial of COVID-19 victims,” the Army Chief added. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
