The three bench special Trial-at-Bar Judges Sampath Abeykoon (President) Sampath Wijeratna and Champa Janaki Rajaratna today fixed the argument of the case against former Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa and six others for misappropriating State Funds amounting to nearly Rs 34 million while constructing the D.A. Rajapaksa Commemorative Museum at Weraketiya, Medamulana, for June 19.
The judges also allowed Mr. Rajapaksa to travel to Singapore for medical treatment till June 2.
In addition to Mr. Rajapaksa the former Chairman of Land Reclamation and Development Corporation Prasad Harshana De Silva and the members of the Board of Directors Bhadrawathie Kamaladasa, Suddammika Attygalle, Saman Kumara Galappathi, D. Mendis, Saliya and Mallika Kumari Senadeera were indicted under Section 5(1) of the Public Property Act and Section 388 of the Penal Code, the prevention of money Laundering act and the Public Property Act.
