Bus priority lane would be restricted to passenger transport buses, and office and school transport buses and vans from today, police said.
Police Spokesman Jaliya Senaratna said that motorcycles and three-wheelers were allowed to use the second lane.
Police had earlier urged motorcyclists and three-wheelers to travel on the left lane which was reserved for buses. However, the police have decided to provide more space for three-wheelers and motorcycles when enforcing the Traffic Lane Law.
The lane law programme which was enforced from Monday in four main roads in Colombo had been revised on several occasions.
Police Spokesman said that necessary changes would be made to the lane law in the future. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)

This is simple as that. Useless police for last two weeks make entire road passenger to mad.

No plan and vision. Just wasting time and money. Time is money.

You will never find a solution to the issue even if entire Police force comes to the roads. A possible way out is to open schools , private and public sector institutions at one hour time intervals and to set working hours accordingly.
