All schools to be closed from July 13 to 17

All schools in the country would be closed from Monday (13) to Friday (17) considering the prevailing situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, the Education Ministry said.

It said all private schools, international schools and tuition classes are also expected to follow the government’s decision.

Meanwhile, Catholic Schools Director Fr. Ivan Perera said in line with Government's decision to close schools, all Catholic schools will also be closed on the same dates.
