Flights that are scheduled to arrive at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) have been informed about the Cyclone ‘Buravi’ that is forecasted to enter the country, the Airport Officer-in-Charge said.
He said ordinary airport duties and services continued until now and no scheduled flight was cancelled due to the cyclone.
The area around BIA was cloudy and showery since morning, the officer said.
Meanwhile, Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) duty manager said that all arrangements have been made to land flights at MRIA if there is any difficulty to land at BIA. (T.K.G. Kapila)
