All liquor shops in the Colombo District would be closed tomorrow to observe the day of mourning on account of the final rites of Supreme Prelate of the Amarapura chapter Most Ven. Kotugoda Dhammawasa Thera, the Excise Department said.
The Government has announced to close all slaughter houses, meat and fish stalls, liquor shops and liquor selling centers in the Colombo District.
The Excise Department said that strict legal action will be taken against liquor license holders of liquor stores that violate this order.
