The Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) was looking at resuming international flights through the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA), AASL Chairman Major General (Rtd.) G. A. Chandrasiri said.
The Chairman, Vice-Chairman, the Board of Directors along with the Head of Divisions, Senior Officials of the AAS-SL visited MRIA on December 30, to discuss the current situation of MRIA.

I have no problem with this provided that the cost of maintaining and running the worlds emptiest airport, is borne by the politicians who want it operating again!
