One Korean and five Vietnamese were arrested by the Immigration and Emigration Department officers today while attempting to flee to Ukraine using fake Korean passports, a senior official of the Immigration and Emigration Department said.
He said the suspects were arrested before the flight took off to Ukraine from the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake.
The suspects had arrived in the country from Vietnam and had attempted to use Katunayake Airport as the transit point to reach Ukraine.
