87 detonators found from Bastian Mawatha Bus Station

Eighty-seven detonators had been found yesterday at the Bastian Mawatha Bus Station and in a garbage dump in the area this afternoon by the Police officers in Colombo Fort, Police said.

They said 12 detonators were found at the Bastian Mawatha Bus Station and after further search, the Police managed to find another 75 detonators in a nearby garbage dump.

The detonators were handed over to the Police Special Task Force and to the Scenes of Crime Officers (SOCO), they said.

No suspects had been arrested. (Darshana Sanjeewa)
