Nearly 41 bank accounts with funds worth Rs.134 million belonging to the suspects who had maintained links with the terrorist organisations connected to the Easter Sunday attacks, had been frozen, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera said today.
“The suspects are under CID and TID detention on charges of having links with terrorist organisations,” he said.
The SP said cash amounting to Rs.14 million belonging to the suspects had also been taken under CID custody.
Meanwhile, it is carrying investigations to locate assets worth Rs.7 billion belonging to the terrorist organisation. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
